As Jones had promised, the final class would be the presentation of the student's research over the course of the semester. She had arranged access to the auditorium in case any of the student's friends or teachers wished to attend.

The usual tea and pastries were set out for the students as Jones typed out an email back to the Court on some matter.

"Our last class is coming soon. At this point you should be well into the writing process for your presentations," Jones said barely looking up from her computer monitor. "If you have anything to share I will be happy to review it with you. Otherwise you are welcome to return to your room to continue your work. At this point you should be more than done with your research. If you need any assistance, I am here to help."

Class was again held in her office however Jones did not have an agenda set for today's class.

"Given the fact that the last week was rather eventful, I will assume that little work was done on your projects," Jones stated when her students appeared. "If that is the case then please go to the library and continue your research."

Yep. Easy class today kids. Enjoy!

After dealing with the fog this morning, Jones sent out a last minute note to her students cancelling class. On the door to her office she left another note instructing the students to stay in the dorms and avoid any dangerous activities.

Yes. Class was cancelled for the day. Why buck a trend?

Today email notifications/notes had been sent to the students informing them to meet Jones near the preserve.

"A change of plans for today," Jones said ignoring any kind modicum of social interaction that might be necessary. "As Cassandra's theme of study involves magic, I thought we would take a look at the negative effect etheric use can have on the environment. If you wish to bring weaponry, you may. I do not expect much trouble but it does help to be prepared."

Ooo! Walking in an eerie forest! Jones knows how to bring the fun.

She really doesn't.

It seemed to be a normal day at the office for Jones as the students settled in for another exciting class!

"Today I would like to review your bibliographies and your source material," Jones said as the students sat down. "We shall start with-"

Suddenly a monitor on Jones' wall came to life and Dr. Randy Disaster appeared.

"Spacemonauts! We have need of your skills and prowess! Report to the danger shop immediately!"

Jones barely raised an eyebrow. "Well I suppose your bibliographies can wait until next week. Please go to the danger shop and prepare yourself."

FOR A THRILLING ADVENTURE!

"Today we will be focusing on Eleanor's topic," Jones said as the students entered her office. "No field trip today but in the future I plan on returning to this subject as I do with all of yours at one point before your presentations."

She went over and popped in an old VHS cassette into a player and a documentary began.

"I warn you know that the topic of the video is not a pleasant one. If you wish to study elsewhere if you find it disturbing you may go to the library."

[OOC: Seriously. The video has major trigger issues regarding human experimentation and racism. Don't click if you don't want to see it.]

Class was back in Jones' office today. No field trips scheduled. No interruptions from Dr. Disaster.

Just muffins, coffee and tea on her desk.

"Today should be short. I wish to hear on your progress of your research project. If you have anything tangible to show I would also happy to review it with you."

The students were instructed once again to meet Jones at Portalicity today for yet another field trip.

When they arrived they would find Jones waiting patiently outside a glowing portal.

"Today we will be attending a broadway musical," Jones informed them as she motioned for them to follow her through the portal. "I attempted to get tickets for a musical which apparently involved felines and actors in skintight suits. However they were unavailable. Instead I found a musical which involves puppets. I apologize if the medium is too juvenile for you as it contains puppetry and apparently TV's Gary Coleman."

The portal directed the class to New York City and to an alley outside an off-broadway theater.

"Next week we shall be going on another field trip which will deal with a more mature theme. For today enjoy the musical."

Jones sent her students a reminder via email to join her at Portalocity for class today. She arrived early and waited in the cold weather without a jacket or coat other than the suit she was wearing.

"Today there is an event in my dimension involving some of my former students," she began. "As Cassandra's topic involves the study of magic, I thought it would be beneficial to her to see another type of magical environment. As the semester progresses we will be taking field trips that will involve Eleanor and Sparkle's topics."

"Before we enter the wood, I will caution you not to leave the clearing we are entering. There are dangers in the forest and I cannot protect you if you choose to wander away. Additionally I would be cautious around the beings known as Coyote and Ysengrin. One is a god and the other is losing whatever slight grip he has on his sanity."

And with those welcome words of happiness and light, Jones stepped through the portal expecting her students to follow her.

Jones' office was pretty much set up like it was last week. There was hot tea available along with muffins and scones for any students needing nourishment.

"Good morning," she began. "I hope you all enjoyed last week's exercise. Dr. Disaster takes great pride in his simulations and it is meant as an amusing diversion from the humdrum of normal classes. Today we shall press forward with the creation of a thesis statement. In an academic process, the thesis statement is used after a short description of the topic to directly state your opinion and how you will present your argument to an observer or reader. Today I would like you to present your thesis and how you plan to support it. Next week we will be taking a field trip to my home dimension that will be related tangently to one of your topics. During this time I would like you to do some research on your topic and provide a bibilography of potential research resources you will use for your presentation."

And with that she randomly pointed at one of her students to begin.

Jones office looked pretty much like it did the week before. There was Jones reading her email, muffins and coffee and the remnants of an eel zero gravity unit and air tank.

Clearly Jones thought it could use further study.

Jones office today was no longer a jumble of boxes. All her books were now neatly organized in bookcases throughout the room and her office was tastefully decorated with several antiques. It seemed rather homey.

On her desk was a plate of muffins from JGOB as well as a carafe of coffee for her students to partake if they so wished.

Jones was currently reading an email from one of her former students as she waited for her class to arrive. If it involved a certain amount of hilarity regarding Andrew's first foray into the Gillitie forest, it did not show on Jones' face.

The door to Jones' office was open and she sat behind her desk waiting for her students to arrive. The office was currently filled with several boxes filled with books waiting to be unpacked however there was just enough room for Jones and her students to squeeze in.

When everyone had gathered, Jones greeted everyone politely though it seemed to lack any kind of emotion. She then launched directly into class discussion.

"The goal of this course is for you to pursue a course of study that interests you," she began. "At the end of the semester you will be doing a presentation in front of the student body on the topic of choice. How you present this information is up to you though I will warn you this is 100% of your grade. There will be other activities in class as we go along. Some will involve your topic of choice. Others will not."

She leaned back slightly in her chair causing it to groan loudly. She leveled a look at each of her students as though she was evaluating their every move.

"You will be expected to do research outside of class as well as within. Today we shall keep things simple: Tell me and the group what topics you would like to research and why."
