"Salutations, everyone!" Sidon greeted the class on the beach where they typically met, although the fact that there was a portal waiting for them meant they wouldn't be staying there very long. "And welcome back! I hope you're all ready for another fantastic field trip back to my very own Zora's Domain, because it is there that we will truly be able to fully explore today's lesson! Are you ready? A new Aquatic Adventure awaits! Let's go!"
With that introduction, he gestured widely with his arm for the class to follow him through the portal, where they would find themselves at a large pool at the base of a waterwall, speckled with large rocks, that might look a little familiar from the diving lesson.
"This," Sidon gestured to the waterfall proudly, "is the Veiled Falls, and the pool here is going to be an excellent choice for our activity today--fishing!--as there are several shallow and several deep spots that suit the variety of skills in our lessons and one of the most varied collection of fish in the Domain! Now, I understand that most of you are probably familiar with the type of fishing that involves a rod or net or other such tool, but today, we will be learning to fish," cue the excited pump of Sidon's arm and the shining smile, the Zora Way!"
Which was literally just jumping into the water and chasing them down.
"Now," Sidon said, "timing is the key! Unless you're a remarkably fast swimmer such as myself," and also, you know, about a third of the length of the pond itself!, "the fish will easily slip past even clawed fingers every time until you time it right! Pay attention to how they move, try to catch them unawares, and then..." Sidon sneaked a few steps into the shallows, watching closely as a bass idly swam by and then! He swept down with a great deal of speed and then, triumphant, held the squirming fish up to show. And then let the fish go, splashing back into the water and immediately swimming for deeper, presumably safe waters.
"It's as easy as that!" he announced as if he hadn't been literally been build for this sort of thing and had been doing it for nearly one hundred years. "So come on in, the water's fine, let's catch ourselves some fish!"
Just enjoying the water and the scenery was perfectly acceptable, as well!
