Yep, that was a screen set up at the front of the classroom. And there was popcorn for the students to take as well.

"There are plenty of movies about urban legends come to life," Thor began, "but there are also myths and rumours about the production or 'hidden' content in many types of movies. Take, for example, the second film in the Return to the Past series. One such rumour was that the 'hoverboard' technology employed in the movie actually existed, and was not just a matter of illusory effects. Unfortunately, Midgardian tech was just not capable of such feats at the time the movie was created. Now, though, it is a much more realistic venture." Although probably only if you were Stark Industries, let's be real. "Another rumour claimed that the film successfully predicted the outcome of a sporting championship nearly ten years in the future from the date of the film's release. This too is false, although the main character in the film does obtain a listing of sporting event results while visiting the future, which he then returns to the past with, with the intention of placing wagers on the outcome of these games to become wealthy."

"That said, the film series in question is quite enjoyable- so why don't we watch the first one?"

It was a distracted pony at the front of class today when the students entered. A distracted pony with a movie projector and no cakes or frostings. Or werewolf.

"Uh," she said, glancing over at the class. "Movie day." She took a breath and raised a hoof as though she were going to continue, then just frowned and looked distracted some more.

At some point she remembered to turn on the projector.

Today email notifications/notes had been sent to the students informing them to meet Jones near the preserve.

"A change of plans for today," Jones said ignoring any kind modicum of social interaction that might be necessary. "As Cassandra's theme of study involves magic, I thought we would take a look at the negative effect etheric use can have on the environment. If you wish to bring weaponry, you may. I do not expect much trouble but it does help to be prepared."

Ooo! Walking in an eerie forest! Jones knows how to bring the fun.

She really doesn't.
