"Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus Germanicus," Ghanima announced as the class settled into their seats. "More commonly known by his nickname Caligula, was the third emperor of the Roman Empire, and a member of the Julio-Claudian dynasty which descended from Augustus."

I, Caligula Caesar, command in the name of the senate and the people of Rome. I, Caligula Caesar, command in the name of the senate and the people of Rome. I, Caligula Caesar, command in the name of the senate and the people of Rome. Rome! Rome! Rome! Caesar! Caesar! Rome! Rome! Rubbish! Rubbish! )

Claire was perched on the desk as she waited for the group to come together. "Hey, thanks for showing up a second time. We're doing introductions this week, and I'm really excited to see what everyone brought." She sounded it. Truly.

Well, as much as she ever did.

"I kind of thought that once we'd done show and tell, we could talk about what we liked or didn't like about each other's pieces. Anyhow, my name is Claire, I'm a senior, and I brought this self-portrait I did back in 10th grade. It was in the show at York Gallery a couple months back. I think I just like the way I used different media, and the cloth hair that kinda looks all Medusa-y."

She pointed randomly to someone else. "Your turn."

"Let us suppose," Jean-Paul began, "just for a moment, that you have or are starting a business providing some good or service. What will you need, besides money and lots of it? Do you have a business plan? What is part of your plan? What are the pros and cons of investors? Discuss."

Clutching a coffee and still kind of missing his bruises (shut up; they made him feel macho), Cal came into the library, expecting the same sort of nice, tedious day as usual. Sort books, stack books, read, lunch, read, and out. Maybe with the person or two drifting in. Same old, same old, but it was kind of nice to have that sort of dependency on things.

The classroom was set up as usually, with the desks pushed together to create a table for everyone to sit around, with doughnuts and coffee available for everyone, and hopefully maybe even some pie if Ned was on the ball about it. She waited until everyone got in before starting.

"Entrepreneurship," she began, "is all about making money. Simple and straight. The way to make money, however, is by providing either a product or a service, or perhaps even both, that people are interested in, can get excited about, and want to get their hands on. One of the things YA focus on each semester is doing just that: offering a product or service to our fellow students and making money off of it. Last semester, we kind of sort of did some tent things; they went over okay. Today, we're going to have a meeting and discuss possible ideas on what our big project can be. Ideas? Thoughts? What's something that Fandom could need that only Young Entrepreneurs can give them? Nothing final needs to be decided today; we'll just throw around ideas today, and see what our brainstorming creates."

"Morning, everyone," Lily greeted the students after the bell. "I'm sure everyone'll be glad to know that this week there are no crying babies, though I know you all loved and adored them. This week we're going to get a little more into the psychology of things by talking about birth order.

it's not long, i just wanted to cut it. deal )

When the students came into the classroom, they found Anakin scrawling a quote on the board:

“In general, pride is at the bottom of all great mistakes.”--John Ruskin

He turned around with an eyebrow raised. "Is Master Ruskin correct? How about Master Lao Tzu? He said: 'Pride attaches undue importance to the superiority of one's status in the eyes of others; and shame is fear of humiliation at one's inferior status in the estimation of others. When one sets his heart on being highly esteemed, and achieves such rating, then he is automatically involved in fear of losing his status.'"

He began pacing around the room. "Does pride always go before a fall? Do we have to be humiliated before we can learn? How high do the stakes have to be before we'll admit we've made a mistake, or have been fooled?"

"In order to deal ethically with other people, we need to acknowledge this very human flaw in ourselves and others. We want to believe that we are different, better than everyone around us." His gaze sharpened. "We're not. Everything is connected. You, me, the desks, the rocks outside, the deer in the preserve, the annoying person in the dorm who plays their music too loudly. Take pride in being yourself, certainly," he concluded. "But don't for a moment believe that who you are makes you more than the person sitting next to you. Because that kind of pride is where you make your first mistake."

After the students found themselves down in the Secret Lab, wearing their hats and lab coats, Yzma began pacing before them.

"Today," she said, "we will perfect our yelling at minions technique. There is no use being in charge if there aren't any cowering minions, am I right?"

She didn't wait for anyone to tell her she was right.

"Today's scenario: your minion was supposed to take care of a very simple task of removing a body--" she coughed, "of water...from a table. Yes! There was a spill on a valuable antique and now there is a horrid water stain! Pair up and take turns giving each other a piece of your minds! If you don't make the other person cry, I shall turn you into a sheep."

She probably wouldn't do that.
