Late Sunday night, and as she glanced at her watch, Honor knew she should be in bed. There were things to do, not the least of which was prepare for the imminent arrival of the brothers Alexander, a reunion she was both anticipating and dreading. It was, she realized, part of the reason she had been up so late, first to calculate the grades, and then to post them: she simply couldn't sleep.
On her shoulder, Nimitz shifted slightly, and patted his hand atop her head. Along their link, he sent a steady wave of reassurance that, on any other occasion, might have calmed her jittery nerves. It wasn't working this time. Honor smiled ruefully, reaching up to scratch under his chin. "Thanks for trying, Stinker," she said.
She reached her office door and withdrew the folded sheet of paper from her jacket. Within a few minutes, the grades were posted, each student listed by their ID numbers, and Honor was on her way back home. She hoped a few minutes in the dojo would help her wind down enough to sleep.
( Students coming behind would have found the following grades... )
[If anyone wants to disupute their grades -- you overachievers, you -- feel free to drop a line. Grades were given based on class interaction, with a dash of the final tossed in for flavor.]
