"I don't think 'caring less'," Summer pointed out, "is the right solution here. Unless the thing you're caring less about is failing, in which case, well. No better time than now, bucko. Get out there. See what sticks. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, all that bullshit."

Strength was all pretty subjective, anyway.

"Truuuuue," Summer allowed, "but I think what matters is that you don't let that worry hold you back....you know?"

Summer grinned a little, giving a small nod of approval to let Stark know that she heard and appreciated that excellent use of the word when. "I look forward," she said, "to hearing more about it, Stark."

Which meant that if he chickened out and there wound up being nothing to be heard all about, then she'd have no choice but to be terribly disappointed. And he didn't want that, now, did he?

Summer had generally stopped paying attention to the squirrels, anyway. It was much for fun digging around and hearing things straight from the sources, anyway.

But the question made her snort. "Not a lot!" she admitted, sounding a little disappointed already by that fact. "I kind of lost the urge to snap too many of them considering that first attempt at getting a picture of you is what opened the door for Anakin foisting you on me the way he did!"

Oh, like she'd rather be self-isolating in a laboratory to avoid certain particularly paws-y squirrels and curb any uncomfortable moments of nudity in her near future? She had a whole fridge of jello shots for tonight setting in her fridge right now that would be entirely wasted!

"I mean," said Summer, "I wouldn't say a lot. It was just from Anakin to me to Travis. It's not like you were sent around the whole island, or anything."

And at least one of those steps was taken for the clear benefits from which he was currently reaping!

"But," she said, pulling out her phone and taking a moment to scroll through a lot of photos taken before now and then until she found the right one, and turned it his way to have a look. "This is the one I managed to take right before you mistook a photo op for a transfer."

Summer hadn't just given Stark away! She had plans! She was helping.

And it had worked, dammit!

Someone had to do the dirty work, apparently...

"She did not hold back," Summer agreed, and, really, she had to respect Juliet for that. She turned the phone back to scroll through to another one, that she had managed to take in a brief second when she'd successfully managed to get Stark to let go, which had been an unfortunately brief moment in time in her apartment indeed, and showed that one to him, too, before moving onto the one that had Pancakes' full-on open disapproval of whatever that rainbow colored creature that Summer had dared to bring into her home on display.

So, apparently, her good intentions were just as garbage as her flowers.

"I wouldn't," Summer advised. "Then she'll know it was you."

Barry was still dumping a ton of money into appeasing that cat, even after all this time. Staying on her good side was apparently a very big deal.

"Please don't," Summer shook her head. "The last thing that cat needs is someone else spoiling her, too."

Of course, if Summer knew that there would be space booze for her involved in this transaction, her response would have been entirely different.

"I mean," said Summer, "she'd always like something, that's kind of the point of being spoiled. But actually forgot Travis had a dog. You should definitely bring Travis' dog a present at some point. And, if you need any light and pressure-free date ideas, dog walks or dog parks are a pretty solid idea. I mean, don't go in starting with that, though. You can just keep that in your back pocket if you asking him for what he'd like to do turns out pretty dry, you know?"
