Driver's Ed [Thursday, Week 3, Period 5]

The Danger Shop was set up like a regular classroom again, with the additional features of a television and a very angry looking gazelle.

There was a message on the board that read: "Pick someone to start the movie. When it is finished, list five things teenage drivers should refrain from doing in order to be safe drivers. Then you may leave."

Don't ask how Ziva got everything set up. Gibbs wasn't the only one with special skills.

Griff could sit and watch a movie. It was helpful to the whole hangover process he'd been working on during the day: Sit still and stare into space.

Sometime during the movie, Alex got up and moved closer to Griff. "How's the hangover?"

Because he had to have one.

Griff vaguely remembered something about Karev from the night before, but his headache was cutting back on his time spent in thought.

"Perfect. Wouldn't have it any other way," Griff replied with a pained eyeroll.

Claudia was the junk food queen, which was why she was shifting a bottle of Gaterade and a bag of corn chips toward Griff.

Effy was half-watching the movie, half eying the angry creature in the room, just in case.

She could behave, for short periods of time, yes.

Alex was half watching the movie and half making sure Griff didn't fall over and die while recovering from his hangover. He hadn't stopped listening to the message last night. It was great for laughs.

Arthur wasn't paying any attention to the movie at all.

He was evaluating the gazelle and wondering if it really was the teacher, or if he could somehow gain permission to chase it into the forest and hunt it.

No reason.

This was a pretty goofy movie, but it wasn't like Tara was about to complain about a movie class. Her eyes kept skittering to the gazelle, though.

Dinah was zoning out a good bit. Not exactly enthralling entertainment. She wasn't falling asleep yet, though.

Hinata gave the movie a good ten minutes of undivided attention before pulling out a notebook to review her notes from the past classes.

Jack ended up staring at the gazelle more than the movie. Just...weird. And he was disappointed he wasn't doing any actual driving.

A movie! Alice was going to watch it and make notes.

Very strange ones.

Alex scribbled a few things down, not really caring if they were necessarily right but he'd done the assignment and paid attention so he was proud of himself.

1. Don't forget your license and registration and proof of insurance.
2. Don't drive drunk or otherwise impaired.
3. Don't forget to wear your seatbelt.
4. Speeding in an urban zone is only okay if you're in pursuit of a criminal, and your car has automatic pedestrian protection.
5. Leaping causeways and rooftops in a vehicle is only do-able if it was designed by Lucius Fox.

Jack turned in a list of things cribbed from the movie.

Gazelles can read, right?

Alice's list wasn't movie-related or sane but it was still fun.

1. Do not drive a motor vehicle while engaging in sexual behavior.
2. Do not drive a motor vehicle while engaging in gymnastic behavior.
3. Do not drive a motor vehicle while playing a rousing game of Duck Duck Goose with the other passengers.
4. Do not drive a motor vehicle while catching up on one's reading.
5. Do not drive a motor vehicle while baking pastries.
