Science Lab, Saturday

The door to the lab was open, and Sam was behind the desk, working on some calculations before she went back to experimenting. She'd snagged a piece of naquadriah when she'd been back in Colorado and was trying to come up with some way to harness it as a predictable energy source.

So far, she wasn't having any luck. When the phone rang, she was almost grateful for the distraction.

"These kids would be insulted at the idea," Tyler said. "Who else teaches science? I should see if they're interested too before I start making any big plans."

Sam really needed to start paying more attention at Staff Meetings. "Um, I think there's someone else teaching a science class? And maybe something about superheroes and physics?"

Tyler evidently did too. "And something with trees," he reminded her. "Maybe I'll bring it up next staff meeting. I wouldn't wanna do it until end of term, so we have time."

"I think on the fly we'd get a lot of 'look, I mix this and this and it explodes,' " Tyler said dryly. "We should give them warning so it's a little less repetitive."

"Probably," Tyler agreed, swinging himself onto a lab table. "At least this way we're giving them two months, so maybe they might figure out ways to make a bigger bang. More interesting for us."
