A Traveler's Guide to Hyrule; Thursday, First Period [09/02].

Sidon certainly had to admit, the architecture of these classrooms was sometimes very impressive. One had to appreciate a nice, roomy ceiling when one encountered it! Because, much like a history course at a normal school, he was conducting his class from an actual classroom that day, and, conveniently, one with plenty of headspace.

(Just try not to think too much about the door).

Once his class was ready to begin, though, he started in with his usual eagerness and aplomb.

"Good morning!" he boomed happily with an opening of his arms. "And hello! Welcome to a Traveler's Guide to Hyrule, a class where you have the auspicious advantage of going on a historical and informative adventure with me, Sidon!" He pumped his fist across his chest and flashed his students a toothy grin. "The Zora Prince! As we travers across the vast and wonderful world that is my homeland, Hyrule! It is a stunning place, filled with a rich history, exciting tales, dark premonitions, a colorful array of personalities and people, and hope for the future! I am thrilled to be able to lead you through this particular journey and to set you up for success should you ever wish to visit my fair land, or, perhpas, to use the knowledge and expansion of your experiences to further your own no matter where your path may lead you!

"Now, of course," he chuckled a little bit here, "we are but a small class, which is wonderful, because that means we can truly do a deep dive into our explorations, but it may make today's class a bit on the brief side, because we are doing none other than my favorite part of any new semester: introductions! Now, of course, as I've said, my name is Sidon," of course, he was going to flash that smile and pump that fist again; it never got old! "And I am the Zora Prince! The Zora are one of the races of Hyrule, so, rest assured, you will learn all about me and my people very shortly in this course! And since I will be telling you so much about where I am from, I would like to use today to get to know all about where you are from! So, please! If you could be so kind, take a moment to tell us who you are, where you are from, and some of the things about that place. What makes it special or unique? What would you want to show me, should I visit some day? What is your favorite thing about being from that place? Today, you will provide a brief traveler's guide to me! Sometimes, we may only travel to a place in our minds, but that's no reason why the trip should not be as rich and vibrant as can be!

"Also," he added, his tone measured a little more, a bit softer, more direct, "most of this class will be held right here in this very classroom, but for a few things, we may utilized the Danger Shop, or depend on the kind reach of Portalocity to experience something more first hand. So, please, if you could, let me know if there's anything you'd much rather avoid or any conditions that may make such travels more difficult. For example, I, alas!, shall not be able to lead you all on an expedition into the Gerudo Desert or to scale Death Mountain, as my Zora constitution does very poorly in such heated climates! The frigid reaches of Hebra are also rather difficult for me, and don't even get me started on the Thundra Plateau!" He chuckled at his own joke as if they would know exactly what he was talking about there. "Sometimes, we may have the desire to travel somewhere, but, due to circumstances beyond our control, it is rather difficult, and there is no shame in that."

"So!" Sidon clapped his hands together and looked to his two students eagerly. "With that said, let us begin! Please, tell me a little about yourself and where you are from and whether or not it should be a place we may one day need our own traveler's guide to visit!"

“I’m Alara Kitan,” Alara said when it was her turn, “I’m a sophomore and I’m from a planet called Xelaya in the 25th Century. It is also a planet with extreme high gravity and most people outside Xelaya need a special suit to visit but it is definitely worth the visit if I do say so myself,” she smiled, “it is quite a beautiful planet,” Alara may not have the desire to pursue a career in the academics and stay at home but she did understand why most Xelayans preferred to stay at home.

“I’ve always found the beach to be a beautiful location,” she said, “my family have a house there and it’s always been so peaceful when we’ve visited.”
