Don't Do the Thing: Decision Making For Dummies [Tues, 3rd Period]

It was your final class of the semester with Aphra, didn't you all feel sad? Or relieved. Probably the latter.

Class was back in the Danger Shop, which was filled with rack upon rack of clothing. Clothing that looked a lot like women's intimates.

"Real talk," Aphra said. "The things you've learnt in this class might save some of your lives," somehow. "But the real reason you should always think before doing the thing is because not realising you shouldn't have done the thing leads to situations where you end up doing things like inventory."

Which is what you were going to be spending your final doing, kids.

"Uhhhh...."

To say Sidon was a little confused was an understatement. Already, he found himself facing quite the obstacle in just using the scanner to begin with, and then the assignment itself felt like such a pointless exercise in just doing work for the sake of doing work that he half had a mind to take the title of the class as literally as he could and refuse to Do the Thing.

It was, after all, the last class in a class that he roundly felt was quite ridiculous to begin with.

"Begging your pardon," he implored, a particularly lacy thing that he could swear didn't even have a tag to scan in one hand, the scanner in the other, "but what exactly is the point of this? I mean no offense," actually, well, he kind of did mean some offense, "but it seems to be an utterly nonsensical waste of time."

Much like this class as a whole, if he was being honest, and he decided he was not going to feel bad about that perspective at all.

My work has been playing around with the idea of monthly inventories. This class is giving me PTSD.
