Wild Roving, Thursday [11/29]
There was an Electroclash at the front of the class again this week. Really, there was. A bit shorter and a lot skinnier, and in a uniform that looked designed to piss someone off with how short the skirt part of it was, but still. "I still don't understand how I'm s'posed to be bloody teaching something." That was familiar too, wasn't it? Less raspy, though, but the attitude towards her job was about the same. It sounded like she'd been complaining about it for a while now. "What is this, Wild Roving? What's that even fuckin' mean? What did the syllabus thing say, something about... exchange, youth, something?"
She was so on top of what was going on here, really.
Sparkle looked... only slightly uncomfortable, glancing from Electroclash to the other students in the classroom, giving them a look that practically screamed, 'I have no freaking clue.'
"Youth exchange programs," he offered, helpfully. "Like... when you trade places with someone else in another school somewhere else, stay in somebody's home or whatever? It's... like a travel thing."
He was so helpful, wasn't he?
Utterly! Look at Electroclash looking all... helped, and stuff! Wait, no, that was an unimpressed scowl. "What, like whatever yanked me right out of London and threw me here?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "'Cause I can tell you right now, mate, I did not sign up for any of that shite. So I'm supposed to teach others about it?"
Would it help if she actually turned to, you know, acknowledge her so-called students right now? "So I guess you can, like, go to another country to go to school or something. But why the fuck would you want to? It's still school, halfwit! It's not gonna be any better, and you won't even understand anyone. So you want a lesson? Don't fucking do it."
... So, no. It would not help to address the students. Good to know!
Sparkle just bit the inside of his cheek and smirked a little. Uh... what she said?
"Me, I'm here from Canada, but this is more like a... boarding school thing than an exchange. Keeps me from jacking up my criminal record back in Toronto. Maybe Lewis figured it'd be better off for me if I work on getting one in some other countries too. Really... educational, or something. So far, what I've learned is that American beer sucks, and the money here smells gross."
And this made him worldly.
Electroclash pointed a finger at him. "Excellent points," she drawled, and whether that was sarcastic or sincere was anyone's guess. "Maybe you're one of the few who manage to learn some valuable life lessons from a international trip. Or, you're taking your criminal tendencies and making those international, in which case I'm watching you, and you should stay away from electronics."
She was still a superhero, after all.
She shrugged. "So... Are we supposed to have some kind of an exercise here, or something? 'Cause that's booooring."
"Yeah, I dunno," Sparkle said, shrugging. "Use the internet and pick a place you think you want to go to school, and then... find out if you really want to go to that country or something. Maybe figure out if they do exchanges with American schools. Or sit around picking your nose or whatever, I don't care."
These two were the best of teachers. Yep.

Or, do nothing. That's a valid option.
Re: Research [WR 11/29]
Where did she even begin to look for a place she might want to go to school at when she was perfectly fine with the one she had?

And trying to figure out what the hell 'the internet' was.

... What, you thought he'd be using this time constructively or something?
