Summer Vacation 101, Thursday, Period 1

This week, the Danger Shop looked like a promenade in what looked to be some generic European city. The sun was shining, pigeons walked at people's feet, all that quaint summery stuff. Sarah was leaning up against a wall while she waited for everyone to gather 'round. There was a curvy redhead standing next to her with a big smile on her face. Some of the students may have recognized her from previous sims – their teacher liked reusing the simulations of her friends for this stuff. Not that she missed them or anything.

"Today, you're on a city holiday," she announced, pushing away from the wall and straightening up once most of the students seemed to be there. "With a friend. That way ––" She pointed into the distance. "–– is the main market square where they sell great handmade ice creams and all those greasy, sugary local pastries you're gonna tell yourself it's okay to have because it's a holiday." Not that she'd ever used an excuse like that. She turned and pointed in the opposite direction. "And over there is a museum full of dusty old paintings, where ––"

"Ooooh, a museum?" the simulated redhead cooed, cutting Sarah off. "Oh, Sarah, can we go to the museum? We should get a bit o' culture."

Sarah wrinkled her nose. "No, I wanna go get ice cream."

"Come on," the sim said, waving a hand, "we can go to the museum first. You don't even want ice cream, you just want to go down to one of the pubs by the market square and get ––"

"|Jen stop.|"

The simulated Jenny froze like a photograph. Sarah gestured at her as she turned to face the students again. "Did you get it yet? Your task today is to pair up. One of you wants to be boring and go to the museum, the other wants to be sane and get ice cream and not walk a billion bloody miles on cobblestone streets for some paintings. Also, the person wanting to go to the museum doesn't want to go anywhere alone because they're so afraid of getting lost." There was a significant look at sim!Jenny. "You need to negotiate and come to some sort of a civil agreement about what to do. Get to it."

[ocd up!]
