The class met in the gym, and there were mats on the floor, a few punching dummies, and a few various punching bags of various sizes.

"Week two," Fred said. "Now we cover the basics of hitting things. It's about throwing force at your opponent. And that force is supposed to go into your opponent, not your own stupid self. So here, I'm gonna demonstrate."

Fred went through some demonstrations on a heavy bag.

"Now remember. You put your thumb in your fist, you're an idiot. You misalign your wrist, you're an idiot. You punch someone that can punch back harder and faster... you get the idea. Remember, you only start fights you can win. That's the smart way. Now, go wild on the bags. You need any help, special attention, just come over here and ask. I kinda am your teacher and all that."
