Flight Club [Flight Shed]

It was Wednesday which meant Gavin was out at the flight shed, snacks and drinks set up, waiting for the rest of the club members to arrive so they could get started. Once everyone had filed in, he started talking.

"Afternoon, guys," he said, just a little on the tense side. Look. Things weren't working. He was allowed. "I had other plans for today but I lost the kriffing plans and they weren't ready anyway. So, today, we're going to fly weird stuff. Yes, weird stuff. Next week, though, we're going to be doing something different. One of our fellow club members," he said with a nod to Anemone, "showed me some blueprints for something new we're going to try out. I haven't had a chance to get Master Skywalker to set it up in the sim's database which is why we're not doing them today. So, today, just...go have fun and eat a lot of food. Or something."

Cranky, cranky.

"Go!"

"School. Sleep. That's it." Not.

"Your life is fascinating, Gavin," John rolled his eyes.

"Well, not all of us can get hip to kinky sex games," Gavin retorted.

John reached out to shove at Gavin, "Yeah, maybe some of us just need to loosen up a bit."

"No, maybe some of us need to keep that in the bedroom," Gavin said and shoved John back, harder.

"Ha!" John scoffed, pushing back. "Maybe some of us need to broaden our horizons."

"Are you offering your expertise?" Gavin quipped, shoving John.

"I never turn down a friend in need," John quipped back, pushing Gavin harder.

"And I never turn down such a helpful offer," he said, just saying 'to hell with it' and trying to tackle John.

John had the air knocked out of him when he hit the ground, immediately lashing out at Gavin with his arms.

Gavin tried to bring a knee up into John's junk because he was evil while trying to block his spindly little arms.

Gavin was going to die for that knee to the crotch and probably knew it given the sheer number of expletives John was shouting attached to Gavin's name.

Gavin, sensing victory, tried to twist John enough to rub his face in the dirt.

"ENOUGH!" Anakin roared, grabbing each boy by the collar through the Force and shaking them hard as he stalked over to them, cloak whipping along behind.

"Explain yourselves!"

Not that it would save either of them from detention.

"Gavin's a jackass!" John explained, pissed and in pain.

"John started it!" Gavin said petulantly. "He pushed me first!"

"You both have the combined intelligence of a three-day dead womprat," Anakin hissed, raising them a few inches off the floor. "This demonstration of gross stupidity will never, ever be repeated in this room. There are objects sharp enough in here to penetrate even your abnormally thick skulls, not to mention equipment worth more than either of you will see in your lives. Detention for you both."

John's voice was a little raspy what with his collar digging into his neck, "Thank you, sir. We appreciate you taking the time to remind us where we are in case we forgot."

"We apologize, sir," Gavin added, still glaring at John but much more calm if only because he was HOVERING now and more concerned about falling. "Detention is deserved for us both."

"I'm so terribly grateful you agree with me, Mister Darklighter," Anakin replied, tone icy enough to etch something. His finger came within and inch of poking John as he held it under John's nose. "And you. Watch your tone. You clearly forgot where you were. Only galactically stupid people get in fistfights in front of me."

John held Anakin's gaze, never willing to back down. "Well, guess that's a new list I've made it on. Got any others?"

Gavin was just going to be over here, hovering in the air and keeping his mouth shut now.

He wanted to live to see the cruise, you see.

Anakin stepped closer to John, Gavin forgotten (except for how he was still floating). "Several," he gritted out. "Don't think Jaina being here will save you."

He loved the simulator more than he loved most people.

"I have no problem dropping you into detention until you graduate."

"I'd never make that assumption," John smirked, twinging a little at the uncomfortable floating feeling.

"Do what you want, all I've got is time." He said it like a dare, flipping life the bird.

Anakin reminded himself that smacking John, while immensely satisfying, would also bring Looks. And possibly Words.

"Don't make Saturday plans, then," he hissed. "For months. And stop talking before I do you a favor and duct tape your mouth closed. I am not in the mood."
