Management Theory [Tuesday, February 3, 4th period]

Yzma, as always, was ready to pace before the class as soon as they all arrived properly attired.

"One of the most important ways to prove your management potential," she overenunciated, "is by planning and correctly pulling off a party!"

She threw her hands into the air. On cue, confetti fell from the sky. She nodded her head. "Today, you will pair up and plan proper party!" She held out a hand. A party hat materialized out of nowhere. "In this hat, there are many suitable party themes. You must come up with the food you will serve, the attire your guests must wear, and most importantly, how to stop losers from attending!" She gazed around at the students. "You have fifteen minutes!"

Nice and reasonable of her.

"The rest of the time you will be working the rope line," which magically appeared in the corner when she pointed to it, full of people who all looked suspiciously like an emperor she used to work for, "explaining to the losers why they aren't on the list."

During a day when many students were compelled to tell the truth. This should be good.

"She's not that bad. We were all a little insane, myself included. And there was something about Dorothy, after all. But she is batty. Talks to people who've been dead for years and all. I never did the voices but sometimes I could tell her I heard her and answer her and she was happier."

He really really hated this.

"Though you're a ninja. Why shouldn't you hide? Personally, half the things you say about your father make me think the man is about as fit as my mother to raise children and by that I mean, not at all. You're a lovely person and it's irritating to hear about all the things he gets or would get angry with you for."

Hand. Is now over mouth. And eyes. Are very very wide.

"Did you not h-have doctors, or h-healers who might have helped her with that?" Hinata asked, wishing she could just sink into the ground. "And m-mad or not, that's cruel of her w-with your dog."

Could she be one with the ground yet?

Her blush was trying to take over her face now, oh yes. "F-Father just wants me to be the best for the c-clan," she defended him automatically, "e-even though he likes my s-sister far better than I. I only know him, I c-could not say how he c-compares, though I d-doubt it would be well to many."

"We were out in the boonies, out in the middle of nowhere. If there were doctors, we couldn't afford them, and the Witch didn't have a care for anyone but herself a day of her life, as far as I could see. The woman reared her from birth and she was an afterthought left to me, who she deemed an incompetent."

Sweet Lurline, when would it--

"The PARTY. We have to do the party oh nameless name let's plan the party would you like to be the one to spot quality at the door? Because we could. Or did you want to decorate. I could, just because I've seen the inside of Lady Glinda's house and if that isn't opulent, I don't know what is."

"The party, p-please," she was just going to hope like anything that this would end soon, "and w-was Lady G-Glinda's house tasteful, b-because there's opulent and tasteful and distasteful as w-well and new money tends t-to be more of the latter."

What was she saying?

"I can s-spot for quality though," Hinata offered meekly. "I s-should be well enough a-at that."

"Other than herself, the place was tasteful even if everything seemed as if it'd been bought in pieces. Everything was tiny, though, ridiculously so."

Glinda was nice and safe. NICE and SAFE.

"All right then. Let's, er, let's get to id. Hmm?"

"Many tiny things are more e-expensive because of the additional craftmanship i-involved," she said, almost absently.

Well, it was true. And her family had money enough that she knew it.

"Yes, p-please, the party waits for no one."

"All right. And then we have to yell at people. Nameless Name, this class is reminding me of the one dedicated to teaching us how to be a Bitch."

He sighed and quirked his lips.

"I'm going to yell at people and then I'm going back to my room and hiding for a while. This day can't be good for me."

"I would be b-bad at that class," she said, flushing. "I'm glad I didn't have it."

A deep breath. "I will, tell people t-to leave and then I have to go to w-work. I wish I didn't, I wish I c-could hide in my room, but I left Yei at the bookstore and so there's not e-even a chance of it happening."

"Good luck then," he said with a nod.

"I've never been glad not to have a job for today."
