Management Theory [Tuesday, February 3, 4th period]

Yzma, as always, was ready to pace before the class as soon as they all arrived properly attired.

"One of the most important ways to prove your management potential," she overenunciated, "is by planning and correctly pulling off a party!"

She threw her hands into the air. On cue, confetti fell from the sky. She nodded her head. "Today, you will pair up and plan proper party!" She held out a hand. A party hat materialized out of nowhere. "In this hat, there are many suitable party themes. You must come up with the food you will serve, the attire your guests must wear, and most importantly, how to stop losers from attending!" She gazed around at the students. "You have fifteen minutes!"

Nice and reasonable of her.

"The rest of the time you will be working the rope line," which magically appeared in the corner when she pointed to it, full of people who all looked suspiciously like an emperor she used to work for, "explaining to the losers why they aren't on the list."

During a day when many students were compelled to tell the truth. This should be good.

Dōjima grabbed a slip while she waited for a partner, her face lighting up as she read their assignment.

It was a bit cold for an outdoor pool party, unless they went with a hot spring theme, but she could make it work.

"Hey," Eric said, giving a little half-wave. "Want to work together?"

If there's one thing Eric had experience with it, it was... okay, not planning parties, but he'd watched his mother do it enough times as he was growing up, he was sure he could handle it.

"Haaaaaaaai!" Dōjima said, tossing him a small salute. "Eric, right? It says 'pool party', so we could either go the traditional route, or do billiards. Got a preference?"

"Yeah, and you're Dōjima, right?" Eric considered for a moment. "Well, that depends. We get to choose the party attire, right? Traditional route means lots of shirtless guys." He paused. "I swear I didn't actually mean to say that out loud."

"Hey, I'm always in favor of shirtless guys," she laughed, winking at him. "Especially the hot ones."

"I'm thinking we take over the pool at the school, serve barbecue and margaritas, and keep it invitation-only. Maybe some hot 'lifeguard' bouncers to keep the losers at bay."

"There some guys here would would look totally hot as lifeguard bouncers." ... ... Screw this, he was just going to go with it. She didn't seem to mind. "We should get cabana boys!"

"Lots of hot cabana boys! And a few girls, too, for those of us that enjoy that particular view!" Ooops, that was out-loud. Oh well.

"Think we could get a volleyball net up? I wouldn't mind seeing some of our male classmates go diving for a ball." Dammit. This was getting annoying.

"Oooh, that could be hot," Eric agreed. Definitely getting annoying. "How are we determing who we're inviting? Are we just going by looks, or should there be some kind of social-standing requirement, as well?"

"Both, of course," Dōjima answered, reaching in her bag to dig for a pen and paper. "We can let in regular cute people, because they have potential, but un-popular and un-cute are so not allowed. You heard Yzma; no losers."

"No losers it is!" Eric made some notes. "I think we have a party."
