But the whole point of all of this was to get rid of those confused feelings! That was totally how these things worked out!

(Okay, okay, not the whole point; just seeing Stark happy was pretty paramount, too, but that just meant the entire thing was very nuanced and complex, thank you).

"Damn," said Summer, although, to Stark's credit, even if he did, Goose and Ignis' mysterious breakup was going to be a pretty hard act to follow, anyway.

But, of course, that did just mean she could move onto....

"Any...other gossip from...not the weekend you might have, hmmmmmmmm?" she oh-so-innocently inquired.

Sooooo much eye contact! Very impressive! Very good. Especially for appreciating the smirk that couldn't have been wiped off of Summer's face even if she tried.

(Which of course she wasn't going to).

"Oh, did he, now?"

There was maybe a...slight narrowing of Summer's eyes, because she was pretty sure she'd gotten Stark flowers for the Valentine's Day deliveries before, but she supposed she could let it slide because these were flowers being brought, not just delivered.

Those, apparently, were just garbage flowers.

But, whatever, he was in cute puppy dog infatuation stage, and flowers from ancient history were better left not remembered these days, anyway, so that was fine.

"Well," she stated, "that's a shame, but I'm glad he thought of that. It's a very nice touch, and maybe...." Pause for suggestive effect, "one of many more to come."

"When," Summer corrected, almost automatically. "When you go out again. Because, I mean, obviously, you should, right? Especially if you get the do something nice for him in return."

And, clearly, she had no problem blatantly providing a hand in pushing this wherever it needed to be pushed.

Stark. Stark. You can't let someone being in your cupcake class exclude you from the possibility of other delivered baked goods! Use it as an excuse to branch out into other types of baked goods! Bring by a special recipe that you didn't include for class because you wanted to 'save it for something special'. Preface it by saying these are previews of ones you plan on doing for the next class! There were so many good opportunities there! Thank god you had Summer here to guide you!

"You could always just ask him," she suggested, and that was even just a low-tier move, too, Stark, come on. "Establish the fact that you would like to go out again, while opening the door to a dialogue that might not only foster new ideas, but also allow you two to learn more about what each other enjoys doing."

No, no, no. Obviously nothing like that!

Summer just looked at Stark for a moment with that statement.

"You?" she asked, feigning utter and complete shock. Shock, indeed! "Worry about things? Noooooo."

But then she gave him a faint grin. "Worrying means you care, right?" she said. "But what is there to worry about? If it goes poorly, well, then, you saved yourself the trouble of getting too invested before it's too late. And if it goes well, then...even better. Nothing to worry about."
