Wilderness Survival; Thursday, Second Period [02/17].
"Chances of having to utilize any of the skills you've been picking up on a school trip are pretty much slim to none," Gladio started class with a grin, "although it'll be a great chance for you to consider what a different climate and location can bring to the table as far as survival in the wilderness goes. Different weather patterns, different sources for water, different animals to track or plants to forage. Different materials with which to build your shelter if you don't have a tent available.
"So I know we've done snow shelters already, but today, we're going to focus on a few other types of shelters that'll be helpful in other situations. Some of these are going to depend on having at the very least a tarp on hand, but the others will be based soley on what types of resources you can find, so always keep an eye out for raw materials like wood or foilage that could be helpful. Especially since there's definitely going to be some places..."
He took an idle glance around at the rough and barren Liede-inspired landscape surrounding them.
"...where those resources are going to be sparse. But let's go over some construction instructions, and then you're off on your own to see what you can scounge up and build."
