Wilderness Adventures, Tuesday, June 11, 2019
Steve had abandoned the khakis this week in favor of his navy blue, kevlar-reinforced Captain America uniform, complete with shield. The trip from town to the Danger Shop today had...let's just say not been his favorite.
"Right, so we're not going outside today," he said in a tone that would not accept any argument.
"But we've still got lessons to teach," Tony said, trying to make up for Steve's level of tenseness with a smile. "This time we'll be trying an urban environment. Which many might be more familiar with."
"It might come as a shock to you all," Steve said a little dryly, smiling at Wayne, "but your teachers certainly are. There's still wild life, but...rats and pigeons, rather than deer and weirdly short giraffes."
Fandom, what.
"Hawks now too!" Tony said with obvious excitement. "So, welcome to Central Park. The bit of nature your teachers are most familiar with. We can do a bit of nature watching and... maybe avoid the panhandlers. If someone tries to hand you a CD, do not take it."
Welcome to New York! That Tony had coded maybe a little too accurately.
"Or the people pretending to fine you for not smiling. They are just creepy," Steve added.
