Punching People for Fun and Profit, Period 1 [Class Ten | 11/11/2009]

Fred had changed up the syllabus again, and this time he didn't even have the class meeting in the Danger Shop. A normal classroom was the setting, though Fred had an American flag up along the wall. A big one.

"Today is Veteran's Day. For those of you not from the goddamn best country in any universe, this is the day we honor those who have served in the military. That includes me, before any hippies try to get all anti-war in my classroom. I will give you detention."

"Now working in the military is a damn privelege and an honor. Serving your country is honorable and commendable and all that. If any of your family is a veteran, I salute them and thank them for their service."

He was getting a little teary eyed, and he stood to attention and saluted.

"I ain't gonna glamorize war, or decry it. So today's class, we're gonna watch an episode of the meta for Band of Brothers. Yeah, I know, you come here to hit things. That'll be next week. Promise."

And then Fred put on the episode of the show set in Bastogne.

He'd be over in the corner. Being manly and stoic. And not getting sniffly. Really.
